Regarded as one of South Asia’s largest freshwater lakes, Wular lake is known for its immense beauty and panoramic views. Now, it’s getting a non-motorable walkway so that more people can visit. If you’re looking for the landmark, it’s situated in Bandipora town in North Kashmir.
The Division Commissioner amid the Wular Festival stated that the main aim of this project is to boost tourism. Hearing this, the locals were relieved since they felt that the government hadn't been paying much attention to this lake.
The Division Commissioner also added that the lake can change the socio-economic status of the people around it. And with the introduction of this walkway, things will only get better concerning job opportunities for the locals.
