The Vijay Sagar Bird Sanctuary of Uttar Pradesh’s Bundelkhand region is all set to host the annual UP Bird and Nature Festival. This festival will take place from February 1 to February 3, 2023.
The purpose of organizing this festival on an annual basis is to draw the attention of all nature enthusiasts towards the rich fauna of the state. However, there is much more than bird watching that people can enjoy at the festival. One can spot other animal species like elephant, sloth bear, rhinoceros, leopard, jackal, crocodiles, tiger, and various other amphibians and reptiles. The Bird and Nature Festival of Uttar Pradesh is organized by the Forest and Eco Tourism Department.
The festival will take place at the Vijay Sagar Bird Sanctuary that is known to house several residential and migratory bird species. Currently, the region is said to witness a number of winter migratory birds. The 11th century Vijay Sagar Lake happens to be one of the many attractions of this place. This lake is believed to be built by a ruler belonging to the Chandela dynasty.
