Travel News: River Rafting In Rishikesh Resumed For The First Time Since Covid-19

Uttarakhand Tourism took to social media on Saturday to announce that River Rafting activities had been restarted for tourists and locals alike.

River Rafting on White Water Rafting on the Ganges is one of the most popular adventure activities in the country and rafting on the Ganges, for many years has been at the heart of adventure travel in India

Rishikesh has always been the premier destination for rafting enthusiasts and is home to a plethora of rafting service providers to choose from.  Largely,  there are three rafting circuits in Rishikesh. The first being the one from  Brahmapuri to Ram Jhula (8 km), Then there’s one from Shivpuri to Lakshman Jhula (16 km) and finally the one from Marine Drive to Lakshman Jhula (26 km). The difficulty levels of each rafting experiences intensifies with the distance of the journey.

While Rafting is generally an activity that takes place during the day. Rafting operators have revamped the riverside by turning it into a camping and bonfire spot for tourists to unwind and spend their evenings at.

Camping by the riverside is also expected to  resume and attract travelers again in the coming weeks
