7. Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur 

Maharaja Umaid Singh, Rathore ruler of Marwar built this palace because he wanted a grand residence. But his priority was also to provide employment to the farmers under his rule in drought-stricken Jodhpur.
