This beautiful monument was constructed by Amarchand Badwa, one of Mewar’s first prime ministers, way back in the 8th century. With many from far and near visiting this destination, Bagore-Ki-Haveli has stood the test of time, making it an emblem of majesty, love, and bravery.
Once you enter the haveli, you’ll not fail to notice the immense glasswork that adorns the walls. With Mewar's finest craftsmen, the Bagore-ki-haveli is decorated with a variety of beautiful murals depicting the period of that time. You should not miss the Queen’s Chambers as its glass frames have beautiful peacock depictions painted on them.
What you should know is that this princely haveli has hundreds of rooms and navigating it would be like going through a labyrinth. The period between 1751-1778 saw a whole range of kings from the Mewar province, explaining the reason behind all those innumerable rooms.

Why not kick off your second day in Udaipur by seeking the divine! The birds-eye view of Udaipur is glorious once you’ve made the top of this temple. Sure, you can take the easy way and use the ropeway to get to the place. But, the victory is sweeter when you take the slightly tougher route and choose the stairs. You’ll find the Karni Mata Temple at Machla Hills, a few meters away from Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Park.

Situated in Havala village, which is on the outskirts of Udaipur, Shilpgram is a one-stop place to learn about rural life in India. The place is home to a plethora of handicrafts and other tools that depict what rural India looks like.
The main highlight of this complex are the architectural huts that showcase what the West zones of rural India used to make do with for shelter. In total, there are five huts depicting Maharashtra, Goa, and Rajasthan each and seven huts showcasing the life of Gujarat back then. Enter the huts, and you’ll see equipment made of wood, metal, textile, and other materials with accurate descriptions below them explaining the functionality of each.
In addition, the complex also houses an enormous amphitheater in which various cultural festivals are organized. In all, visiting Shilpgram is like taking a walk in a time capsule.

Your final destination in your 48 hours in Udaipur ends with a visit to Sajjangarh. This iconic palace, which is situated about 944 m above sea level facing Lake Pichola, was meant to track monsoon clouds. And that’s why this palace also goes by “Monsoon Palace” which is known by many.
It was built by Maharana Sajjan Singh, the 72nd ruler of the Mewar province, who was a well-known thinker, and an immense contributor toward the development of Udaipur as a state.
The palace is entirely made of marble, and in true Rajasthani essence, its complex has a variety of turrets, pillars, domes, and jharokhas. Its pillars have intricate floral patterns carved on them, enhancing the overall character of the palace. The remaining part of the palace has beautiful carvings done on the walls as well, which you’ll never get bored of seeing.
