Pakyong Airport, Sikkim, To Resume Services From March 31

If your summer travel plans to Sikkim had come to a standstill because of the airport’s shutdown, you’re in for a delight. You can soon begin flying to Sikkim. The airport had temporarily shut services because of operational reasons, as per airport director RK Grover. After a long pause of 6 months, Sikkim’s only airport, Pakyong Airport will resume services from March 31. He also said that SpiceJet will operate two flights to Sikkim, one from New Delhi and Kolkata.

The low-cost airline will fly daily between Kolkata and Pakyong while the Pakyong-New Delhi flight will operate 5 days a week.

To fly from Kolkata, you can catch the flight at 8:05 am that will land you in Pakyong at 9:35 am. On its return voyage, the flight will depart at 10:30 am and will arrive in Kolkata at 12:10 pm. Similarly, the flight from Delhi will depart at 9:45 am and arrive by 12:40 pm. The return flight will take off at 1:10 pm and land in New Delhi by 4:10 pm.
