Navratri Special: IRCTC Announces Special Trains To Vaishno Devi For Navratri

After the success of the Ramayana Circuit operated by the IRCTC in June 2022, the Indian Railways on Wednesday, 14th September 2022, announced to run ‘Navratri Special Tourist Trains’ to Vaishno Devi Katra. Set to commence its first run to Katra on 30th September 2022, the train will be starting from Delhi’s Safdarjung Railway Station and journey for a duration of four nights and five days. Navratri Special is set to have 11 dedicated 3-Tier AC Coaches, which can accommodate about 600 passengers in one departure.

Tourists from Muzaffarnagar, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Ambala, Ludhiana, Saharanpur, and Sirhind can avail of the special train tour package. Since the festive season sees lakhs of devotees making the journey to Vaishno Devi, getting confirmed seat availability is a challenge. Taking this into consideration, IRCTC has further planned to launch a tour package to facilitate the pilgrims during Navratri.

This all-inclusive package will include the train journey in 3rd AC, night stays in AC hotels, all meals, sightseeing in buses, travel insurance, service guides, and more. This all-inclusive package starts at INR 11,990 per person on a double occupancy basis.
