Iran announced a visa-free policy for Indian tourists on 6th February, 2024. Every six months, for a total of fifteen days, Indian tourists can travel to Iran on an ordinary passport. This makes Iran one of the many countries that have eased their visa rules for Indians.
The policy applies only to tourists who are visiting Iran via air. Those opting for other modes of transport will have to adhere to the proper visa requirements. It also applies to those who are visiting Islamic Territory for tourism purposes. To stay for a longer period of time, you’ll need to apply for the necessary visa.
If you’re on the lookout for your next international trip, you should consider Iran as one of the destinations to explore.
