Bangalorians get ready for a weekend of hard rock and metal at the iconic Banglore Open Air 2023! The festival will be held at the Royal Orchid Resort and Convention Center in Banglore on the 1st of April 2023.
The festival has earned its reputation for being the biggest and most innovative Rock and Metal concert to emerge from the Indian subcontinent. The founder of the festival, Salman U. Sayed, began this fest with the sole purpose of bringing metal and rock heads from all over India together and giving them a metal festival to call their own. For the longest time working with the world-renowned Wacken Open Air Festival from Germany, the Bangalore Open Air has managed to forge collaborations with some of the most legendary and iconic heavy metal performers to grace the Indian rock scene.
Bangalore Open Air (BOA) has never failed to surprise its fans and bring them something mind-blowing right from its inception. From thrash metal titans Kreator and Destruction to heavy metal legends Iced Earth and metal luminaries like Rotting Christ and Vader, BOA brings out some of the most sought-after acts, every single time.
This year’s lineup includes international bands like Pestilence from the Netherlands, Mayhem from Norway, and Born of Osiris from the USA as well as home-grown bands like Godless, Dying Embrace, Kryptos, and Amorphia.
BOA has emerged as a highly anticipated concert with an annual attendance of over three thousand attendees which is growing with every passing year. This year too, the fest is close to being sold out with only 400 tickets left, which is the first for BOA! The state-of-the-art festival experience is on par with the best fests in Europe, and it comes as no surprise that Bangalore Open Air is considered ‘The Metal Festival’ to head to!
